preceding the 17th century. It was told by French peasants in the 10th century. In Italy, Little Red Riding Hood was told by
peasants in 14th century. The earliest known printed version was known as Le Petit Chaperon Rouge. The story has been changed
considerably in its history and subject to numerous modern adaptations and readings. The story was first published by Charles Perrault
and is performed today by the Los Angeles based company, Puppet Theater on Wheels.
